Up until now, engineers had to go on site to know what is going on inside the BTS. Using its unique alerting capabilities, ServersCheck alerts engineers over a secondary network when the BTS is down so that you know what the reason is for the failure of a BTS.
Often the failure is limited to a device that hangs. Through a power off-power on sequence such problems can be solved. With ServersCheck, engineers can now perform in a secure way remote actions inside the BTS such as performing cold reboots of devices.
Cold reboots are performed either through AC or DC PDU's. A PDU is a device that enables to perform over a network a power off, power on sequence. All devices are connected to the back of the PDU and the PDU acts as a master switch for each device connected to it. ServersCheck has its own AC PDU's: 1U horizontal and 0U vertical. More info on the ServersCheck PDU's is available here
For customers requiring DC PDU's ServersCheck integrates with third party vendors such as WTI.
Being to switch off and switch on systems in a secure way from a remote location may save a lot of time. This results in saving revenue by reducing down time to a minimum.

Between the rectifier and the BTS equipment, one or more DC switched PDU's are positioned. The DC PDU is like an electronic switch that allows you to electronically power off and then power on a port.
The PDU is connected via TCP/IP to the BTS Monitoring Appliance.
Using ServersCheck's BTS Monitoring Appliance one can on failure perform cold reboots of BTS equipment in 2 different ways:
- remotely using secure SMS
- locally by BTS Monitoring Appliance
Using its patent pending technology, users can remotely reboot via secure SMS through the appliance any device connected to the PDU.
The BTS Monitoring Appliance can also perform automatic reboots when one of the monitored items fails. No human intervention required. 100% automatic.

WTI RPC-4840 (2x40A) or RPC-4840N (8x15A) for DC powered shelters |
| Optional PoE Switch |
| A local Power-Over-Ethernet network (LAN) is required when communicating with camera's. If no LAN is available, then one can be created by including a DIN rail mount PoE switch. |
